Organize your Word Wall

Create a word wall that teaches reading and spelling!

Organize the words on your word wall according to the
vowel patterns. This sets up an easy reference for the
students. Word House has a kit made up of posters for
the vowel pattern categories and 65 basic words. Each
poster has a friendly dog showing the action of the
vowel in that word pattern. There is also a “doghouse”
poster for the words that do not fit any pattern. Students
enjoy deciding in which group a certain word belongs
and placing it on the word wall. Words may be added
and changed as the class studies different topics but the
poster dogs would remain the same.

The kit is called Action Vowel Dogs.
