How Does it Work?

Every page has an empty house of two or more rooms on the top of the page. Below the houses are lists of words. The student sorts and organizes these words by writing them according to vowel patterns in rooms of the house. Then the student reads the words he or she just wrote and highlights the vowel pattern.

On the next page, students identify the same words and use them to write a sentence and practice spelling.

Every lesson uses the same format, creating organization and word patterns. As the house grows, the students reading vocabulary grows along with it.
